EMDR Therapy for high-functioning adults who feel anxious, stuck, or shut down

Breakups. Divorce. Sudden loss. Family issues. Demanding work.

Its easy to minimize these experiences because you kept functioning.

You showed up to work. You handled responsibilities. You didn’t fall apart.

But maybe you’re…

→ Thinking your body reactions & emotions are “too big” for what happened

→ Feeling guilt or shame after the experience

→ Hearing a harsh inner-voice that you can’t think your way out of

→ Staying busy or productive so you don’t have to slow down or feel

→ Seeing relationship patterns but can’t interrupt them in real-time

→ Noticing your usual ways of coping aren’t working on this

These responses are not personal failures.

You can’t talk your way out of them, or you would have by now.

They are adaptive survival responses that once made sense—and no longer need to run your life.

Meet your Dallas trauma therapist

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Supervisor and EMDR Certified Therapist in Dallas, specializing in trauma therapy for high-functioning adults navigating difficult life changes and overwhelming experiences. Many of the people I work with are used to holding it together on the outside — while privately feeling shaken by what they’ve been through.

Trauma can come from a single event, medical experiences, relationship wounds or abuse, divorce, sudden loss, or high-stress work environments that echo previous life experiences. Even when life looks “fine,” it can feel like something inside hasn’t caught up.

I understand how disorienting it can be to notice your capacity change after a hard experience — to feel more reactive than you used to, less trusting of yourself or others, or frustrated that symptoms haven’t simply faded with time.

I’ve spent my career helping adults heal from trauma, reconnect with their sense of self, and move through life transitions with more steadiness and confidence. It’s a privilege to watch clients regain trust in themselves, feel safer in relationships, and move forward feeling more like who they were always meant to be.

Dallas therapy for anxiety

EMDR Therapy in Dallas, TX can help even when weekly talk therapy hasn’t.

EMDR therapy does not erase your experiences—but it can change how your body responds to the memories. It can help you untangle from the racing thoughts, and soothe that lump in your throat, drop in your stomach, and racing heart when this is brought up.

Over time working with me many clients report:

  • Less anxiety, irritability, and heavy sadness

  • A greater sense of calm and feeling safer

  • Improved connection in relationships

  • Less shame, self-blame, or expecting perfection from themself

  • Feeling more present in their life instead of bracing for what’s next

Healing often feels less like fixing yourself and more like finally being able to exhale.

Therapy Services

Trauma Therapy

Trauma therapy helps folks feel safe again in their body, their relationships, and the world around them again. It can help you untangle the beliefs and ways you protect yourself that no longer work for you.

A unique option I offer is tailored session lengths and frequency to work for your needs: weekly 50 or 90 minute sessions, or extended sessions with EMDR intensives.

Anxiety Therapy

Sometimes anxiety is fueled by tricky relationships, that harsh inner-voice that helps us handle our business, past life experiences, or life transitions.

I can help you cope with anxiety and learn what to do when you have overwhelming anxiety or panic attacks. We dive in with offering well-researched options for soothing the stress down, and then take a deeper look at what fuels your anxiety.
